Wesbell is seeking a Journeyman/woman Automotive Mechanic. This position is responsible for repairs and/or recommendations for the Wesbell ALBERTA fleet of trucks, trailers, and generators.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities Include
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Completing required installations and repairs to a variety of trucks, SUV’s, trailers, canopies, caps, and generators based in Alberta.
- Sourcing replacement parts and equipment.
- If repairs cannot be completed in-house, oversee and make recommendations regarding quotes and estimates from licensed facilities.
- Assistance in reviewing and purchasing new vehicles, trailers, canopies, caps, etc
- Any other assigned and related tasks as directed
Education (Theoretical Training)
- Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Technician, certified in Alberta or RED SEAL
Job Requirements & Experience
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a certified mechanic in Alberta.
- Must be able to read and follow schematics.
- Must be able to travel to Edmonton periodically to complete repairs on vehicles based out of the Edmonton facility.
- Must be willing to assist in viewing possible vehicles, trailers, or canopies for purchase.
- Take direction and implement tasks as distributed by Alberta Operations Manager or other Executive Management.
- Must be a self-starter able to work under minimal supervision.
- Maintain the highest degree of safety compliance above and beyond Wesbell’s health and safety policies.
- Must be a reliable worker with a good attendance record.
- Ability to work independently as well as work in a team setting.
- Must have a strong command of the English language, both verbal and written.
- Must have a working knowledge of computers and windows based programs.
- May be required to travel and work weekends and nights if required due to an emergency situation.
